What is a Rose-Cut Diamond?

Most of our designs revolve around rose-cut diamonds. Rose-cuts are flat on the bottom (as opposed to the traditional, modern diamond cut which has a pointed bottom called the culet) and are faceted on the top. Rose-cuts have a long and rich history in the art of jewelry, being a precursor to our modern cuts. They afford a low-profile setting, are uniquely cut to make the most of the diamond, and pay tribute to its natural form. Each of our diamonds are cut by hand.
